Abundant Life Foundation
The Abundant Life Foundation (ALF) is an Austin-based nonprofit with a heart for serving the island of Roatan, Honduras with programs across three pillars – education, community and conservation. Our work began with ALF in 2016 as the organization sought to reposition as a public-facing charity and to take their brand to the next level with a focus on visual storytelling.
BRAND IDENTITY
ALF’s brand identity was refreshed to embody the essence of the Bay Islands, including a new logo incorporating the beautiful blues and greens of the Caribbean and an abstract wave shape connecting to island life. The three primary brand colors also represent the organization’s three program pillars. Hand-drawn typography was included for a casual island vibe.
A new tagline and structured messaging framework also helped ALF tell a consistent and compelling story and shaped messaging around programs and impact. A messaging campaign called #WhyRoatan was also created to connect American donors to ALF’s mission.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Detailed shot lists and photo/video direction improved the organization’s visual storytelling. This work helped ALF capture the true beauty of the island and better showcase their work in a professional and engaging way. Due to the international nature of this client, our team took three trips to Roatan to capture these creative assets.

DONOR MATERIALS
Customized donor materials include a hand-drawn island map and icons to show ALF’s footprint of programs across the island. Inserts include a personalized postcard from the founders and tiered inserts showcasing programs.
WEBSITE
Custom, mobile-responsive website with an emphasis on visual storytelling and blogging. Compelling photography and video is used throughout the site to engage visitors. Dedicated landing pages are also part of ongoing fundraising initiatives.
BRAND AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS
Brand awareness campaigns especially through social media have brought significant increases in new followers, providing more opportunity for ALF to communicate its mission and creating a community of interested and educated brand advocates.
